Angie Moon Conte is a multidisciplinary artist based in New York City, primarily working in the film and dance industries. As a lifelong dancer and choreographer, she has spent decades creating work that gives context and story to an otherwise empty space. On the other side, as a designer she curates the space that communicates a story, a history, an energy.

 

She loves to get her hands dirty fabricating custom props, and has a deep toolbox of creative skills including metalsmithing, painting, sewing, sculpting, movement direction, among others. She has designed for feature films, verticals, branded content, music videos, corporate media, and live theater. All of her design work is approached with an Earth-friendly mindset.

Her dance life includes an MFA in Dance & New Media from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and a BA in Dance & Fine Art from Roger Williams University. Her dance career has brought her to show work at iconic spaces such as The Kennedy Center, St. Marks Church, Westbeth, and Triskelion, along with non-traditional spots such as farmers markets, pubs, and gallery spaces. She is a teacher and mentor to many, and takes great pride in helping he next generation of creatives. 

 

She is one half of the experimental art duo Headlight Assembly, with longtime collaborator Benny Krown. Their work together is now in the permanent collection of the Museum of Wild & Newfangled Art.
